· Can a change occur within intended use, tax class and blend number without moving the wine?
Yes. System allows for reclassification of a product by Blend, Lot number and Tax Class within a tank with no movement Top

· Is there a simplified method of moving bulk wine in and out, i.e. without setting up a code with grower and vineyard information? A short form with just, to/from, variety, appellation and vintage.
Wine is moved via a cellar work order. When bulk wine is received in the appellation parameters must be associated with the wine. The grower and vineyard parameters do not need to be set up prior. The receipted wine needs a blend/product code and lot number associated with it and this will need to be set up.

· Can Bills of Lading be printed for bulk wine movements, including barrel movements to other facilities both owned by winery and others?
Yes, the system prints Bills of Lading. Top
|
· Does Vintners Advantage Software validate codes when entered to prevent mis-keying?
The system validates all codes against the associated table file. All codes are user defined and are created in the Master tables. The user can key in the Lot number or the system can assign the next one in sequence. Top

· Do reports show information pertaining to both tanks involved in a transaction?
Reports can show both From and To tank information. The system has audit files associated with each transaction.
Volume - Before and after Volume/Blend/Lot number for each tank in the operation.
Composition - Before and after composition of each tank in the operation.
Costing - Before and after costing of each tank in the operation and also the costs added on this operation.

· Can we delete or change an analytical result?
Analytical results are archived and can be modified. Top
|
· Can we get more than ten analysis tests?
The system allows for up to 99 chemistry analysis tests.

|
· Can the system track historical transactions from the beginning to end of production even if the Lot number has changed with the changes in production?
When a wine changes lot number, the work order affecting the change is updated into the lot number history for both the old and new lot number. Full lot histories can be tracked back to wine origination. Top
|
· Does the system have its own lot number system?
System has the option that allows the user to assign lot numbers. They can also be assigned by requesting the next one in sequence.

· How many reports can be produced? Does it customize specific reports?
Vintners Advantage has many reports. Several key reports have intelligent filters so that users can tailor reports to their needs. An optional ODBC module is available so that users may create their own reports using Crystal Reports or Excel. Most reports may be printed to a file and imported into Word or Excel for customization.

· Will the system allow for losses or gains due to temperature shrinkage, tank expansion or contraction due to weather, or gauge differential?
System has dip to volume conversion based on either a Dip Calibration Table or with tank dimensions. Each operation on a tank of wine has a before dip/volume and an after dip/volume and, as a result, gains and losses are calculated. A user definable parameter is available to provide a warning if a gain or loss is out of range.

· Can the tax class of wine be easily changed, if at all, once entered?
The reclassification program allows you to modify a Tax Class. All work orders allow the tax class to be changed. A history of the old and new tax class is available. Top
|
· What do you do if you have different jobs going on at one time? (Example, filtering into a tank and pumping out of the same tank.)
Each operation on a tank must be done via a work order. The tank must be emptied of one volume before filling with a new blend to ensure integrity of the composition, compliance and costing. The system has both a full production planning work order system AND the ability to post work orders transactionally. Work orders must be closed in actual process order, not numerical order. Top

· For wine received, does system allow for updating harvest information (appellation, varietals, percent press, alcohol content, etc.)?
Bulk wine received requires entry of appellation, varietal and Additive details. Chemistry analysis can be done on the wine to update its current chemistry.

· For production purposes, does your system allow water for sluicing?
An operation that uses water in chemical slurry may dispense water as an additive on a cellar work order.

· For tax class blends or any blends, is information of analysis combined to result in what would be actual results or must you choose one or the other analysis for the new blend?
When blending wines, the chemistry analysis follows the Lot number The Lot number is not automatically assigned to the output tank but is the choice of the Winemaker. It is the Winemakers choice to carry the chemistry forward. No calculation of what the chemistry might be is performed. The winemaker is prompted to move the chemistry analysis from the from tank, keep the analysis on the to tank or zero out all current analysis values. This in no way removed the analysis history. The analysis history is always available for inquiry. Top
